When news about the Corporate Transparency Act spread, we realized that this was going to create challenges for business owners on two levels: knowing whether or not to submit a BOI report and knowing how to do it accurately.

When you're professional form-fillers (as was one of our founders Martin, the owner of Revel CPA), you know what it's like sifting through pages and pages of government documentation to understand a business owner's obligations. But we also knew that most business owners wouldn't want to do that and needed an easier approach.

We pulled together a small team with the right backgrounds and got to work on a solution that would address the needs of two important groups: business owners, and the professionals (accountants, lawyers, etc) that support them.

For now, we're bootstrapping this thing because we have the skills to do so, but we're also actively seeking the right investing partner(s) to take Ownerfile to the next level. Stay tuned for that.
